Easel & Wheel Art Space is a creative program designed around adult social experiences & the top destination in Royal Oak for unique, hands-on art events that blend art, design, and connection! We are a boutique, ceramic-centered offering unlike anything in Metro Detroit.

Design-forward and intentionally approachable, our projects are structured to fast-track real clay skills while resulting in a finished piece you’ll be proud to use and keep (even if you’ve never touched clay before)!

Using our signature Guided Assembly method, we masterfully hand-throw ceramic components on the pottery wheel, then guide you through assembling, designing, and decorating your piece. You learn formal techniques along the way, but without the intimidation or mess of a traditional studio—just  thoughtful process and a finished object that often becomes a favorite.

Easel & Wheel programming is hosted at the Eleven Pop Up building in the Social District near Main Street in downtown Royal Oak. It's a clean, bright boutique setting instead of a typical clay studio. Our experiences are as much about connection and atmosphere as they are about clay.

Every project we offer is intentionally designed to be successful at any skill level, resulting in gorgeous high-fire porcelain pieces that are microwave/dishwasher safe, highly functional and meant to last as long as your fun memories about your time with us!
